The Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA) designation is offered to candidates who are presently or have in the past held the position of Auditor. It is also extended to accountants, consultants, and specific area experts whose job duties are/were at least 50% in the area of auditing or monitoring internal controls or internal control systems, where formal evaluations are made to management, including weaknesses and recommendations for corrective action.
The Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA) designation is available to Accounting/Auditing Professionals including IS/IT Auditors, and Educators.
To receive the certification designation, a candidate must meet the educational and experience requirements as listed in the Application for Certification, complete all course work as required in the academic curriculum, and pass a comprehensive examination at the end of each course.
